Specificity
- Recognizes human, mouse, and rat ILP-2 (IAP-Like Protein- 2). A member of the IAP (Inhibitor of Apoptosis) family of proteins, ILP-2 has high homology to ILP-1 but is expressed solely in normal human testis. ILP-2 does not inhibit Fas- or TNF-induced apoptosis, but strongly inhibits apoptosis caused by overexpression of Bax or by coexpression of caspase-9 with Apaf-1.
