Specificity: Recognizes human type VI collagen. Does not react with denatured or reduced type VI collagen, although this antibody does recognize the triple helix consisting of alpha1 (VI), alpha 2 (VI) and alpha3 (gamma) The epitope has not been mapped and is not known to react with collagens I, II, III, IV, or V in native assays. Species cross-reactivity: rabbit.

Usage: Please note that this antibody does not react with denatured or reduced type VI collagen. Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Western Blot: 10 μg/mL. Immunohistochemistry: 1-10 μg/mL on acetone fixed paraffin-embedded tissues or frozen tissues. Not recommended for formalin fixed tissues. Epitope retrieval suggestions are treatment with 0.04 % trypsin in 0.01 M CaCl2, 0.05 M Tris-HCl,  pH 7.6, 37?C for 10 min before the non specific peroxidase block.
