                                            Immunogen
- A synthetic peptide from the phospho Y140 & S156 of human Cofilin-1 (Cofilin non-muscle isoform) conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The antigen is homologous in rat mouse and monkey.

- 4 °C,-20 °C
-
                                            Storage Comment
- Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.

                                            Background
- FUNCTION: Controls reversibly actin polymerization and depolymerization in a pH -sensitive manner. It has the ability to bind G- and F-actin in a 1:1 ratio of cofilin to actin. It is the major component of intranuclear and cytoplasmic actin rods. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Nucleus matrix. Cytoplasm cytoskeleton. Note: Almost completely in nucleus in cells exposed to heat shock or 10 % dimethyl sulfoxide. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Widely distributed in various tissues.
