    C-Term

    Specificity

This antibody detects CDH3 at C-term.

    Purification

Prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS. Then the antibody is purified by peptide affinity purification.

    Immunogen

This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the C-terminal region of human CDH3.

    P-Cadherin (CDH3)

    Alternative Name

    Cadherin-3

    Background

CDH3 is a classical cadherin from the cadherin superfamily. It is a calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein comprised of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region and a highly conserved cytoplasmic tail. Aberrant expression of this protein is observed in cervical adenocarcinomas. Mutations in the gene encoding CDH3 have been associated with congential hypotrichosis with juvenile macular dystrophy.Synonyms: CDH3, CDHP, Cadherin P, P-Cadherin, Placental cadherin
