- HIPK3 (Homeodomain Interacting Protein Kinase 3 (HIPK3))
-
Alternative Name
- HIPK3 / FIST / ANPK
-
Background
- HIPK3 negatively regulates apoptosis by promoting FADD phosphorylation. This kinase enhances androgen receptor-mediated transcription, and may act as a transcriptional corepressor for NK homeodomain transcription factors.Synonyms: Androgen receptor-interacting nuclear protein kinase, DYRK6, FIST3, Fas-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase, Homeodomain-interacting protein kinase 3, Homolog of protein kinase YAK1, PKY
