The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-MARCKS antibody (ABIN362380) specifically detects MARCKS in WB and IF.
The antibody is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
The antibody detects endogenous level of MARCKS only when phosphorylated at serine 158.
Purification
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography usingepitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removedby chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.
Immunogen
Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pSer158 (R-F-S (p) -F-K) derived from Human MARCKS. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.

Background
MARCKS is the most prominent cellular substrate for protein kinase C. This protein binds calmodulin, actin, and synapsin. MARCKS is a filamentous (F) actin cross-linking protein.
