The antibody detects endogenous level of total HSF1 protein.
Purification
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
Immunogen
Peptide sequence around AA 305-309 (P-Q-S-P-R) derived from Human HSF1. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic peptide and KLH conjugates.

HSF1
(Heat Shock Factor Protein 1 (HSF1))
Alternative Name
HSF1
Background
DNA-binding protein that specifically binds heat shock promoter elements (HSE) and activates transcription. In higher eukaryotes, HSF is unable to bind to the HSE unless the cells are heat shocked.
