Application Notes
-
Peptide ELISA: Limit dilution 1: 16000. Western blot: 0.1-0.3 μg/mL. Approx 37 kDa band observed in human kidney, liver andpancreas lysates (calculated MW of 31.7 kDa according to NP_036269.1). The observedmolecular weight corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies(Pullamsetti et al, FASEB J.2005 Jul,19(9): 1175-7, PMID: 15827267).

Background
- DDAH1 belongs to the dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase (DDAH) family. This enzyme plays a role in nitric oxide generation by regulating cellular concentrations of methylarginines, which in turn inhibit nitric oxide synthase activity. This gene belongs to the dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase (DDAH) gene family.
