Clone

LK-2
  • Brand

    IHC-plus™

    Specificity

Detects an ~60 kD protein, corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of Hsp60 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots, in samples from human, mouse, rat, bovine, chicken, dog, guinea pig, hamster, monkey, pig, rabbit, plant (spinach), Borrelia, E. coli, helicobacter pylori, M. bovis (Hsp65), Salmonella typhimurium, Streptococcus pyogenes, Treponema hyodysenteriae, Treponema innocense, Trichinella spiralis, Yersinia entercolitica, and yeast origins. Deletion mutant analysis indicates that the epitope recognized by LK-2 is located between residues 383-419 of the human Hsp60 sequence (which corresponds to residues 356-393 of the mycobacterial Hsp60 sequence).

    Purification

    Protein G purified

    Immunogen

Human HSP60 produced through recombinant DNA methods in E. coli.

    Type of Immunogen: Recombinant protein

    Isotype

    IgG1
  • Application Notes

    Approved: IHC, IHC-P (10 μg/mL), IP (10 μg/mL), WB (0.25 μg/mL)

Usage: Immunohistochemistry: This antibody was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in  pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for this antibody was determined to be 10 μg/mL.
