Specificity: Recognizes human, recombinant Fibroblast Growth Factor 6 (FGF6). ~50 % cross-reactivity with rhFGF4, less than 5 % cross-reactivity with rhFGF9 and less than 2 % cross-reactivity with FGF-acidic, rhFGF5 and rhFGF7. In direct ELISA, this antibody shows no cross-reactivity with other cytokines tested.

Application Notes: Approved: ELISA (0.5 - 1 μg/mL), Func, Neut, WB (0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL)

Usage: Suitable for use in Neutralization, Western Blot and ELISA. Neutralization: ND50 is ~0.025-0.075 μg/mL in the presence of 1 ng/mL of rhFGF6 and 1 μg/mL of heparin, using the FGF6 responsive NR6R-3T3 fibroblasts as target cells. The Neutralization Dose50 (ND50) for this antibody is defined as that concentration of antibody required to yield one-half maximal inhibition of the cytokine activity on a responsive cell line, when that cytokine is present at a concentration just high enough to elicit a maximum response. Western Blot: 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human FGF6. The detection limit for rhFGF6 is approximately 2 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. ELISA: 0.5-1 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human FGF6. The detection limit for rhFGF6 is ~0.16 ng/well.
