    Purpose

    Phosphothreonine Antibody Biotin Conjugated

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit IgG and anti-Biotin.

    Characteristics

Synonyms: PhosphoThreonine (pT) reactive antibody PhosphoThreonine (pT) polyclonal antibody, PhosphoThreonine antibody produced in rabbit

    Purification

Anti-PhosphoThreonine was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using phosphorylated threonine peptide coupled to agarose followed by conjugation to biotin and subsequent purification.

    Sterility

    Sterile filtered

    Immunogen

Immunogen: PhosphoThreonine affinity-purified antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with phosphothreonine conjugated KLH.

    Immunogen Type: Other

    Isotype

    IgG
  • Application Notes

    Immunohistochemistry Dilution: User Optimized

Application Note: PhosphoThreonine affinity-purified antibody is tested for use in ELISA and western blotting assays.  The antibody reacts specifically with phosphothreonine and shows minimal reactivity by ELISA and western blotting with proteins containing phosphotyrosine or phosphoserine residues.  The antibody reacts with free phosphothreonine, phosphothreonine conjugated to carriers such as thyroglobulin or BSA, and detects the presence of phosphothreonine in proteins of both unstimulated and stimulated cell lysates.  Although not tested, this antibody is likely functional in RIA, flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.

    Background

Background: Phospho-Threonine Antibody detects proteins and peptides phosphorylated at threonine residues in a manner largely independent of the surrounding amino acid sequence. Phosphorylation of threonine residues is associated with many growth factors and oncogene protein kinases, and is important for cell signaling in activation, proliferation and differentiation.
