  • Application Notes

Application Note: Anti-Arginase Peroxidase Antibody has been tested by dot blot and is suitable to be assayed against 1.0 μg of Arginase [Bovine Liver] in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.  A working dilution of 1:4,000 to 1:20,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.

    Western Blot Dilution: 1:1,000 - 1:5,000

    ELISA Dilution: 1:10,000 - 1:40,000

Liver Arginase (ARG1) (Arginase, Liver (ARG1))

    Alternative Name

    Background

Background: Arginase is a manganese-containing enzyme belonging to the ureohydrolase family of enzymes. Arginase catalyzes the fifth and final step in the urea cycle, a series of biochemical reactions in mammals during which the body disposes of harmful ammonia. Specifically, arginase converts L-arginine into L-ornithine and urea.
