- Specificity
- Is polyvalent for Shigella antigens. Shigella sp. Are non spore forming, rod shaped bacteria, the causative agent of Shigellosis in man. The genus is closely related to Escherichia coli and Salmonella. The antibody preparation has not been cross absorbed and is likely to react with closely related Enterobacteriaceae.
