    Supplier

    Rockland

    Purpose

    cdc2 phospho Y15 Antibody

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

Anti-cdc2 pY15 Antibody is directed against rat cdc2 protein phosphorylated at Y15.

    Purification

The antibody was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using phospho peptide coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) against non-phospho peptide and non-specific peptide to remove any unwanted reactivities.

    Immunogen

Anti-cdc2 pY15 Antibody was produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding Tyr 15.

    Isotype

    IgG
  • Application Notes

    ELISA_Dilution: 1:10,000

    Western_Blot_Dilution: 1:1000

    Comment

Anti-cdc2 pY15 antibody is tested for use in ELISA and Western Blotting. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band of approximately 34 kDa in size corresponding to cdc2 protein in the appropriate cell lysate or extract.

  • Target

    CDK1 (Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 1 (CDK1))

    Alternative Name

    cdc2

    Background

    Synonyms: CDC-like kinase 2, Clk2

Background: Cdc2 pY15 antibody recognizes Cdc2 which is a highly conserved protein serine kinase that plays a key role in regulation of the cell cycle. The ability of cdc2 to exercise control over the cell cycle is dependent upon the phosphorylation of Tyr15 in cdc2. Cdc2 expression in brain has been linked to both neurogenesis and apoptosis. Anti-Cdc2 pY15 antibody is ideal for investigators involved in Cell Signaling, Neuroscience, Signal Transduction research.
