Background
- NRF1 (UniProt/Swiss-Prot entry Q16656) is a transcription factor which activates the expression of some key metabolic genes regulating cellular growth and nuclear genes required for respiration, heme biosynthesis, and mitochondrial DNA transcription and replication.
