Characteristics
- C17orf96 has been shown to be highly expressed in mammalian ES cells and has been implicated as an interacting protein of the PRC2 complex (polycomb repressive complex 2). It may function as a CpG island binding protein and thus a potential regulator of gene transcription. Phosphorylation of C17orf96 may be involved in regulation of the interaction of C17orf96 with PRC2. C17orf96 phospho Ser15 antibody (pAb) was raised in a Rabbit host. It has been validated for use in Dot blot, it has been shown to react with Mouse samples.
