Background
-
Background: Participates in at least several B-cell activation processes as well as of other cell types (PubMed:3016727). It is a costimulator of DNA-synthesis. It induces the expression of class II MHC molecules on resting B-cells. It enhances both secretion and cell surface expression of IgE and IgG1. It also regulates the expression of the low affinity Fc receptor for IgE (CD23) on both lymphocytes and monocytes. Positively regulates IL31RA expression in macrophages (By similarity).
Aliases: B cell growth factor 1 antibody, B cell IgG differentiation factor antibody, B Cell Stimulatory Factor 1 antibody, B-cell stimulatory factor 1 antibody, BCGF 1 antibody, BCGF1 antibody, Binetrakin antibody, BSF-1 antibody, BSF1 antibody, IGG1 induction factor antibody, IL 4 antibody, IL-4 antibody, IL4 antibody, IL4_HUMAN antibody, Il4e12 antibody, Interleukin 4 antibody, Interleukin 4 variant 2 antibody, Interleukin 4, isoform 1 antibody, Interleukin-4 antibody, Lymphocyte stimulatory factor 1 antibody, MGC79402 antibody, Pitrakinra antibody
