The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-DCP1A antibody is suitable to detect DCP1A in samples from Human and Mouse. It has been validated for WB, ELISA, IHC and IF.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB 1:500-1:2000,IHC 1:100-1:300,ELISA 1:20000,IF 1:50-200

Background
DCP1A, SMIF, mRNA-decapping enzyme 1A, Smad4-interacting transcriptional co-activator, Transcription factor SMIFDecapping is a key step in general and regulated mRNA decay. mRNA-decapping enzyme 1A encoded by DCP1A is a decapping enzyme. This protein and another decapping enzyme form a decapping complex, which interacts with the nonsense-mediated decay factor hUpf1 and may be recruited to mRNAs containing premature termination codons. This protein also participates in the TGF-beta signaling pathway. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.
