The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-MED9 antibody (ABIN7229638) specifically detects MED9 in WB and ELISA.
The antibody is reactive with Human and Mouse samples.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB 1:500-2000,ELISA 1:5000-20000

Background
Mediator of RNA polymerase II transcription subunit 9, Mediator complex subunit 9MED9 (Mediator Complex Subunit 9) is a Protein Coding gene. Among its related pathways are Metabolism and Regulation of lipid metabolism by Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARalpha). The multiprotein Mediator complex is a coactivator required for activation of RNA polymerase II transcription by DNA bound transcription factors. The protein encoded by MED9 is thought to be a subunit of the Mediator complex. MED9 is located within the Smith-Magenis syndrome region on chromosome 17.
