The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-CDHR5 antibody (ABIN7227780) specifically detects CDHR5 in WB, ELISA and IF.
The antibody is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB 1:500-2000,IF/ICC1:100-500,ELISA 1:5000-20000

Background
Cadherin-related family member 5, Mu-protocadherin, Mucin and cadherin-like protein, Mucin-like protocadherin, MLPCDHCDHR5 (Cadherin Related Family Member 5) is a Protein Coding gene. CDHR5 is a novel mucin-like gene that is a member of the cadherin superfamily. While encoding nonpolymorphic tandem repeats rich in proline, serine and threonine similar to mucin proteins, CDHR5 also contains sequence encoding calcium-binding motifs found in all cadherins. The role of the hybrid extracellular region and the specific function of this protein have not yet been determined. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
