The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-STMN2 antibody (ABIN7217704) specifically detects STMN2 in WB, ELISA, IHC and IF.
The antibody is reactive with Human, Rat and Mouse samples.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB 1:500-1:2000,IHC: 1:100-300,ELISA 1:5000,IF 1:50-200

Background
STMN2, SCG10, SCGN10, Stathmin-2, Superior cervical ganglion-10 protein, Protein SCG10STMN2 encodes a member of the stathmin family of phosphoproteins. Stathmin proteins function in microtubule dynamics and signal transduction. The stathmin 2 plays a regulatory role in neuronal growth and is also thought to be involved in osteogenesis. Reductions in the expression of this gene have been associated with Down's syndrome and Alzheimer's disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 6.
