The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-SENP5 antibody (ABIN7216968) specifically detects SENP5 in WB, ELISA, IHC and IF.
The antibody is reactive with Human, Mouse and Monkey samples.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB 1:500-1:2000,IHC 1:100-1:300,ELISA 1:20000,IF 1:50-200

Background
SENP5, FKSG45, Sentrin-specific protease 5, Sentrin/SUMO-specific protease SENP5The reversible posttranslational modification of proteins by the addition of small ubiquitin-like SUMO proteins (see SUMO1, MIM 601912) is required for numerous biologic processes. SUMO-specific proteases, such as SENP5, are responsible for the initial processing of SUMO precursors to generate a C-terminal diglycine motif required for the conjugation reaction. They also have isopeptidase activity for the removal of SUMO from high molecular mass SUMO conjugates.
