Background
- Background: Histone deacetylase 7 (HDAC7) is a class II histone deacetylase that catalyzes the removal of acetyl groups from core histone octamer subunits. HDAC7 appears to have an influence on cellular processes by acting as a transcriptional repressor. HDAC7 is highly expressed in double positive thymocytes and may play an important role in T-cell development. Recently, HDAC7 has also been reported to influence endothelial cell migration and modulate angiogenesis.
