Background
- Background: The c-terminal of BBAP (B-lymphoma and BAL-binding protein) is highly homologous to the DTX family of proteins and like the DTX family of proteins, functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase. BBAP associates with BAL1 a transcription factor linked to poor outcome in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). BAL1 and BBAP expression has been shown to be coregulated, and BBAP has been found to regulate the subcellular localization of BAL1.
