    Alternative Name

    MLF1

    Background

Background: Myeloid leukemia factor 1 (MLF1) is an oncoprotein linked to myeloid leukemia and functions in hemopoietic lineage commitment. In acute myeloid leukemia, MLF1 has been identified in a chromosomal translocation and fusion with nucleophosmin. MLF1 has been found to shuttle between the cytoplasm and nucleus where it may influence gene expression.
