Background
- Background: CoCoA (coiled-coil coactivator) functions as a secondary coactivator for nuclear receptors and the LEF1/beta-catenin transcription factor. CoCoA is recruited to DNA bound nuclear receptors or factors by one of three p160 coactivator proteins that act as the primary coactivator. Through this interaction, CoCoA is able to contribute to transcriptional activation of target genes.
