- ABCF2 (ATP-Binding Cassette, Sub-Family F (GCN20), Member 2 (ABCF2))
-
Alternative Name
- ABCF2
-
Background
- Background: ATP-binding cassette sub-family F member 2 (ABCF2) belongs to the adenosine-triphosphate-binding cassette (ABC) family of transporters. ABC transporters are categorized into seven subfamilies: ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, and white. ABCF2 is a member of the GCN20 subfamily. Unlike other ABC family members, ABCF2 is not a membrane-spanning protein and therefore may not be involved in transport. ABCF2 has been suggested to be a candidate marker for clear cell adenocarcinoma of the ovary and uterine corpus.
