  • Target

    RAD18 (E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RAD18 (RAD18))

    Alternative Name

    Rad18

    Background

Background: Rad18 is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that associates with the E2 ubiquitin conjugating enzyme UBE2B (Rad6b) and monoubiquitinates PCNA on stalled replication forks. This activity promotes the recruitment of DNA repair polymerases such as DNA polymerase eta (Poleta) and translesion synthesis at DNA lesions.
