- GTF2F1 (General Transcription Factor IIF, Polypeptide 1, 74kDa (GTF2F1))
-
Alternative Name
- RAP74
-
Background
- Background: The general transcription factor, TFIIF, is composed of a heterodimer of a 74 kDa alpha subunit and a 30 kDa beta subunit. The alpha subunit of TFIIF is also called RAP74. In collaboration with TFIIB, TFIIF helps recruit RNA polymerase II to the pre-initiation complex (PIC).
