  • Target

    ACTR2 (Actin-Related Protein 2 (ACTR2))

    Alternative Name

    ACTR2/ARP2

    Background

Background: ARP2 actin related protein 2 homolog (ACTR2) functions as an ATP-binding component of the Arp2/3 complex which is involved in regulation of actin polymerization. Together with an activating nucleation-promoting factor (NPF), it mediates the formation of branched actin networks. ACTR2 seems to contact the pointed end of the daughter actin filament [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) P61160].
