Application Notes
- This antibody binds to the rat transferrin receptor, and in its original mouse IgG2a version, it was shown to be taken up into the brain across the blood-brain barrier (Moss 2001). Mutational screening showed that this process is dependent on the antibody's affinity for its target (Haqqani 2018). The antibody can also be used in flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and western blot, and it may also be used in frozen-section IHC.

Comment
-
This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG2a format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
