Purpose
- Anti-Calponin protein [24H5], Mouse IgG2b, kappa
-
Specificity
- The antibody is specific for calponin protein. Calponin protein is a thin filament-associated protein that is implicated in the regulation and modulation of smooth muscle contraction. It is capable of binding to actin, calmodulin and tropomyosin. Further, the interaction of calponin with actin inhibits the actomyosin Mg-ATPase activity.

Application Notes
- The antibody specifically detected Calponin beta protein in Western blot analysis. The antibody 24H5 and the commercial antibody CALP were used to stain uterine fibroids and liver tissue. Results showed the antibody specificity is comparable to the commercial antibody. Further, the sensitivity of the antibody 24H5 was higher than the commercial antibody (CN113234155A).
