Background
- Chromogranin A is a major member of the family of acidic secretory glycoproteins, expressed in all endocrine and neuroendocrine cells. Chromogranin A expression has been detected in number of neuroendocrine tumors, including phaeochromocytomas, medullary thyroid carcinomas, pituitary adenomas and Merkel cell tumors.
