  • Purpose

    FGF23(FGF23/638), CF740 conjugate

    Characteristics

Fibroblast growth factor-1 (FGF-1, acidic FGF) and fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF-2, basic FGF) are members of a family of growth factors that stimulate proliferation of cells of mesenchymal, epithelial and neuroectodermal origin.Additional members of the FGF family include the oncogenes FGF-3 (Int2) and FGF-4 (hst/Kaposi), FGF-5, FGF-6, FGF-7 (KGF), FGF-8 (AIGF), FGF-9 (GAF) and FGF-10 through FGF-23. Members of the FGF family share 30-55 % amino acid sequence identity and similar gene structure. They are capable of transforming cultured cells when overexpressed by transfection. Cellular receptors for FGFs are members of a second multigene family, including four tyrosine kinases designated Flg (FGFR-1), Bek (FGFR-L), TKF and FGFR-3.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF® Dyes and other labels. CF® Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF®405S and CF®405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.

    Immunogen

    Recombinant human FGF23 protein

    Isotype

    IgG1, kappa
  • Application Notes

For coating for ELISA, order Ab without BSA. Higher concentration may be required for direct detection using primary antibody conjugates than for indirect detection with secondary antibody. Optimal dilution and staining procedure for a specific application should be determined by user. Recommended starting concentrations for titration are 1-2 μg/mL for most applications, or 1 μg/million cells/100 μLfor flow cytometry
