    Purpose

    Rabbit Anti-ACSS1 (Acetyl-K642) Polyclonal Antibody

    Specificity

The antibody detects endogenous levels of ACSS1 when Acetyl occurs at Lys642(human) or Lys635(mouse/rat), while it doesn't react with total protein.

    Purification

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.

    Immunogen

Synthesized peptide derived from part region of human ACSS1 (Acetyl-K642) protein at AA range: K642

    Isotype

    IgG

    Background

Acetyl-coenzyme A synthetase 2-like, mitochondrial, Acetate--CoA ligase 2, Acetyl-CoA synthetase 2, AceCS2, Acyl-CoA synthetase short-chain family member 1ACSS1 encodes a mitochondrial acetyl-CoA synthetase enzyme. A similar protein in mice plays an important role in the tricarboxylic acid cycle by catalyzing the conversion of acetate to acetyl CoA. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for ACSS1. ACSS1 (Acyl-CoA Synthetase Short Chain Family Member 1) is a Protein Coding gene. Among its related pathways are Statin Pathway and Metabolism.
