Background
- C-46 reacts with keratins 7 (54 kDa) and 17 (46 kDa). On formalin-fixed paraffin embedded sections C46 reacts with keratin 7 only. Strongly positive on most simple epithelia except for stomach, small intestine and colon mucosa, hepatocytes, pancreatic acini, renal tubules, also positive on some non-cornifying epithelia. Positive control: Relevant simple epithelia like ovary, lung, and breast.
