Background
- Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit K is a protein that in humans is encoded by the EIF3K gene. The 700 kDa eukaryotic translation initiation factor-3 (eIF3) is the largest eIF and contains at least 12 subunits, including EIF2S12. eIF3 plays an essential role in translation by binding directly to the 40S ribosomal subunit and promoting formation of the 40S preinitiation complex. Synonyms: Monoclonal EIF3S12 antibody, Anti-EIF3S12 antibody, Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit K antibody, M9 antibody, eIF3k antibody, ARG134 antibody, PTD001 antibody, HSPC029 antibody, MSTP001 antibody, PLAC-24 antibody, PRO1474 antibody.
