Lhca5 antibody

This Rabbit Polyclonal antibody specifically detects Lhca5 in WB. It exhibits reactivity toward Arabidopsis thaliana, Barley and Spinach.
Catalog No. ABIN93565

Quick Overview for Lhca5 antibody (ABIN93565)

Target

Lhca5 (psi Type V Chlorophyll A/B-Binding Protein (Lhca5))

Reactivity

Arabidopsis thaliana, Barley, Spinach

Host

Rabbit

Clonality

Polyclonal

Application

Western Blotting (WB)
  • Predicted Reactivity

    monocots and dicots

    Characteristics

Expected / apparent Molecular Weight of the Antigene: 23 / 23 for Arabidopsis thaliana

    Purification

    affinity purified

    Immunogen

BSA-conjugated synthetic peptide derived from the Lhca4 protein of Arabidopsis thaliana (At1g45474). This sequence is highly conserved in Lhca5 proteins of angiosperms (monocots and dicots) and gymnosperms.

    Isotype

    IgG
  • Application Notes

    Recommended Dilution: 1 : 1000- 1 : 3000 with standard ECL (WB).
This antibody is not suitable for immunohistochemistry.

    Restrictions

    For Research Use only
  • Format

    Lyophilized

    Reconstitution

For reconstitution add 200 µL of sterile water

    Buffer

    PBS pH 7.4

    Handling Advice

Please, remember to spin tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from lyophilized material adhering to the cap or sides of the tubes.
Once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repreated freeze-thaw cycles.

    Storage

    -20 °C
  • Target

    Lhca5 (psi Type V Chlorophyll A/B-Binding Protein (Lhca5))

    Background

    AGI Code: At1g45474
Lhca5 is a low abundant chlorophyll a/b-binding protein that has been found to associate with Photoystem I in sub-stoechiometric amounts. Unlike the four main Lhca-types (Lhca1-4) Lhca5 seems to be able to associate with PSI or the LHCI at varying positions. The regulation pattern for the expressino of the Lhca5 gene differs from the standard Lhc pattern as expression seems to be positively regulated under light and cold stress conditions.

    Molecular Weight

expected: 23 kDa, apparent: 23 for Arabidopsis thaliana
