Application Notes
-
Application Note: Anti-Acetyl Cholinesterase Biotin Conjugated Antibody has been tested by western blot and is suitable to be assayed against 1.0 μg of Acetyl Cholinesterase in a standard capture ELISA using Peroxidase Conjugated Streptavidin #S000-03 and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:1,000 to 1:2,000 is suggested for this product.
Western Blot Dilution: 1:500 - 1:2,500

Background
- Background: Acetyl Cholinesterase is abundantly expressed in erythrocytes and is part of the type-B carboxylesterase/lipase family. Anti-Acetyl Cholinesterase cancels signal transduction at the neuromuscular junction via hydrolysis of acetylcholine as it is released into the synaptic cleft by the motor neurons. Anti-Acetyl Cholinesterase antibody is ideal for investigators involved in Neuroscience and Neurotransmitter research.
