Cav1b (voltage-dependent L-type calcium channel alpha-1 subunit isoform b) mediates entry of calcium ions into excitable cells. Cav1b contains multiple Ion_trans domains which are Ion transport protein and also contains transmembrane domain I segment 1,2,3,4,5,6 helix, transmembrane domain II segment 1,2,3,4,5,6 helix, transmembrane domain III segment 1,2,3,4,5,6 helix, transmembrane domain IV segment 1,2,3,4,5,6 helix, which are voltage sensor and transmembrane domain I P-loop, transmembrane domain II P-loop, transmembrane domain III P-loop, which are lining of ion-selective pore, as well as Glu(-) residue of the selectivity filter and III cytoplasmic linker, II-III cytoplasmic linker and III-IV cytoplasmic linker.
