Application Notes

Immunohistochemistry: (Paraffin/Frozen): 1:50-1:100
WB: 1:100-1:500.
Staining Procedure: Prolonged fixation in buffered formalin can destroy the epitope. The antibody may be used at a dilution of 1:50 to 1:100 with. The optimal conditions should be determined by the individual laboratory. High temperature antigen unmasking technique predigestion is strongly recommended.

Background

This antibody reacts with Cytokeratin 19 (40 kD) intermediate filament and with a wide variety of Simple epithelia and non-squamous stratified epithelia. It does not react with stratified squamous epithelia. However, cervical squamous cell carcinomas show positivity with this antibody.
