Background
- GRB7(Growth factor receptor-bound protein 7) is a potential signal transduction molecule, and a variant of human Grb7 which is associated with invasive esophageal carcinoma. GRB7 interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of the epidermal growth factor receptor which is then inhibited. The interaction is mediated by the SH2 domain. GRB7 also binds to ERBB2 and interacts with RND1. GRB7 belongs to the GRB7/10/14 family and contains 1 PH domain, 1 Ras-associating domain and 1 SH2 domain.
