Background: ADAMTS13 is a zinc-containing metalloprotease enzyme. The ADAMTS13 gene is mapped to chromosome 9q34 by genomic sequence analysis. It is reported that a metal-containing proteolytic enzyme (metalloprotease) in normal plasma cleaves the peptide bond between tyrosine at position 842 and methionine at position 843 in monomeric subunits of von Willebrand factor, thereby degrading the large multimers. And it is confirmed that the ADAMTS13 gene encodes the von Willebrand factor-cleaving protease (VWFCP). ADAMTS13 is secreted in blood and degrades large vWf multimers, decreasing their activity.

    Gene Name: ADAMTS13

Production: Natural and recombinant human ADAMTS13. There is no detectable cross-reactivity with other relevant proteins.

Standard: Expression system for standard: CHO, Immunogen sequence: Q34-W688

  • Application Notes

Application Note: Useful in Sandwich ELISA for Quantitative Detection of Antigen. Aliquot 0.1 mL per well of the 50 ng/mL, 25 ng/mL, 12.5 ng/mL, 6.25 ng/mL, 3.12 ng/mL, 1.56 ng/mL, 0.78 ng/mL human ADAMTS13 standard solutions into the precoated 96-well plate. Add 0.1 mL of the sample diluent buffer into the control well (Zero well). Add 0.1 mL of each properly diluted sample of human cell culture supernates, serum or plasma(heparin, EDTA, citrate) to each empty well. We recommend that each human ADAMTS13 standard solution and each sample is measured in duplicate.
