Synthetic

Application

Blocking Peptide (BP), Western Blotting (WB)
  • Purpose

    HAO1 Peptide
  • Application Notes

Optimal working dilution should be determined by the investigator.

    Comment

This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-HAO1 antibody ( ARP42480_P050). It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.

    Background

Background Information: Subcellular location of HAO1 is the peroxisome. Specifically, HAO1 is expressed primarily in liver and pancreas and is most active on glycolate, a two-carbon substrate. The protein is also active on 2-hydroxy fatty acids. This gene is one of three related genes that have 2-hydroxyacid oxidase activity yet differ in encoded protein amino acid sequence, tissue expression and substrate preference. The transcript detected at high levels in pancreas may represent an alternatively spliced form or the use of a multiple near-consensus upstream polyadenylation site.
