Background

ACP6 could hydrolyze lysophosphatidic acid to monoacylglycerol. It was originally reported to be located in the mitochondrion, but the evidence seems to be weak and contradictory with the presence of a cleaved signal sequence. Western blots using two different antibodies against two unique regions of this protein target confirm the same apparent molecular weight in our tests.
