- Background
- VMIP-2 is a chemokine analog encoded by human herpes virus, and has been shown to have antagonist activity towards several chemokine receptors. Recombinant vMIP-2 is a 7.9 kDa protein consisting of 70 amino acids including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CC chemokines.
