Format: Lyophilized

Reconstitution: Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. It is recommended to resuspend at 0.5 mg/mL if the lyophilized powder is 100 μg or less, at 1 mg/mL for 500 μg or 1 mg lyophilized powder. Do not mix by vortex or vigorous shaking.

Buffer: Lyophilized from 0.22μm filtered solution in PBS ( pH 7.4). Normally 8 % trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.

Background: Interleukin (IL)-12 and IL-23 belong to the IL-12 type family and are composite cytokines, consisting of the common β subunit p40 and the specific cytokine α subunit p35 and p19, respectively. IL-12 signals via the IL-12Rβ1•IL-12Rβ2 receptor complex, and IL-23 uses also IL-12Rβ1 but engages IL-23R as second receptor.

Molecular Weight: 19.5 (Cynomolgus IL-23 alpha)&35.8 (Mouse IL-12 beta) kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 22 (Cynomolgus IL23 alpha)&40-50 (Mouse IL12 beta) kDa based on Bis-Tris PAGE result.
