Key Benefits:
- Predefined custom protein - from design to production - by highly experienced protein experts.
- Protein expressed in mammalian cells and purified in one-step affinity chromatography
- The optimized expression system ensures reliability for intracellular, secreted and transmembrane proteins.
- State-of-the-art algorithm used for plasmid design (Gene synthesis).
If you are not interested in a full length protein, please contact us for individual protein fragments.
The big advantage of ordering our predefined custom proteins in comparison to ordering custom-made proteins from other companies is that there is no financial obligation in case the protein cannot be expressed or purified.

- RGS2 (Regulator of G-Protein Signaling 2 (RGS2))
-
Alternative Name
- Rgs2
-
Background
- Regulator of G-protein signaling 2 (RGS2),FUNCTION: Regulates G protein-coupled receptor signaling cascades. Inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits, thereby driving them into their inactive GDP-bound form (By similarity). It is involved in the negative regulation of the angiotensin-activated signaling pathway (By similarity). Plays a role in the regulation of blood pressure in response to signaling via G protein-coupled receptors and GNAQ. Plays a role in regulating the constriction and relaxation of vascular smooth muscle (PubMed:14608379). Binds EIF2B5 and blocks its activity, thereby inhibiting the translation of mRNA into protein (By similarity). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:P41220, ECO:0000269|PubMed:14608379}.
