Background
-
Protein Background: YWHAE (14-3-3 protein epsilon) also known as tyrosine 3-mono-oxygenase/tryptophan 5-monooxygenase activation protein is a member of the 14-3-3 family. Adapter protein implicated in the regulation of a large spectrum of both general and specialized signaling pathways. Binds to a large number of partners, usually by recognition of a phosphoserine or phosphothreonine motif. Positively regulates phosphorylated protein HSF1 nuclear export to the cytoplasm. Plays a positive role in the antiviral signaling pathway upstream of TBK1 via interaction with RIGI. Mechanistically, directs RIGI redistribution from the cytosol to mitochondrial associated membranes where it mediates MAVS-dependent innate immune signaling during viral infection.
Short Description: Recombinant YWHAE protein that includes full length of human YWHAE protein (accession number NP_006752.1) was expressed in E. coli and contains an N-terminal His tag with a molecular weight of 31.34 kDa. The purity of the protein is ≥ 95 % by SDS-PAGE.
Aliases: 14-3-3 protein epsilon, tyrosine 3-mono-oxygenase/tryptophan 5-monooxygenase activation protein, FLJ45465, Epsilon polypeptide
