    Background

Protein Background: DDX3X (ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX3X) is a multifunctional ATP-dependent RNA helicase belonging to the DEAD-box protein family, which is critically involved in numerous aspects of RNA metabolism. Its primary function is to unwind RNA secondary structures, an essential activity that facilitates key processes including transcription, mRNA splicing, nuclear export, translation initiation, and the assembly of stress granules. Furthermore, DDX3X plays vital roles in innate immune signaling pathways by modulating the activity of key kinases and interferon responses. Due to its central role in gene expression and cell growth, mutations in the DDX3X gene are linked to neurodevelopmental disorders and various cancers, highlighting its importance in cellular homeostasis and disease.

Short Description: Recombinant DDX3X protein was expressed in a baculovirus expression system as the full length protein (accession number NP_001347.3) with an N-terminal FLAG tag. The molecular weight of DDX3X is 74.51 kDa.

    Aliases: ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX3X, DEAD-Box Helicase, DDX3X, DDX3, HLP2
